Behavior Programs Manager- The Behavior Programs Manager is a critical position at AHS.  In addition to leading the team and working hands-on with the animals, staff, and volunteers, this person is responsible for creating and maintaining a high performing, skilled, and professional team.  The Behavior Programs Manager will work collaboratively with others to ensure that behavior programs and processes align with the organizational strategy and deliver a high level of customer service and satisfaction, implementing changes or improvements as necessary.  The manager will lead behavior staff at all AHS locations who may have job responsibilities in public dog training classes, admissions by appointment, behavior modification, feline welfare/enrichment, canine welfare/enrichment and behavior evaluations and will develop and train staff in the areas of behavior modification, behavior evaluations, animal handling and animal training.   The manager will serve as a member of the leadership team to further the goals of the entire organization. The Humane Society of the Nature Coast - Brooksville, FL

Hillsborough County Pet Resource Center (Animal Services) - Tampa, FL

Veterinarian- Interested in working in a progressive county shelter with great staff and state-of-the-art equipment in sunny Tampa, Florida?  The Hillsborough County Pet Resource Center is a high volume, open admission county shelter with an 85 - 90% live release rate. We are looking for a Veterinarian to work with three other veterinarians and 15 veterinary technicians. The Veterinarians report to the Veterinary Medical Director and are responsible for the care of sick or injured animals brought in to the shelter. The veterinarian examines sick and injured animals and develops treatment plans; oversees the euthanasia of sick and injured animals if necessary; performs surgery; examines, treats and oversees the health of investigation animals; produces written reports, and testifies in court as to documented instances of neglect and/or cruelty.  Additional responsibilities include vaccination for rabies or microchipping animals as necessary, providing internal and external customer service, employee training, and educating the public on responsible pet care.  The position frequently includes working weekends, evenings, holidays, and split schedules based on division needs.
