Jenn Stone, specialist, national embed program
Jenn Stone is a specialist for the national embed program. She began her career in animal welfare with Best Friends in 2015, after spending more than 10 years as a touring musician. She started as a TNVR (trap, neuter, vaccinate, return) fieldworker in the Los Angeles area and quickly moved to supporting community cat programs in some of the nation’s largest municipal shelters. Most recently, she provided operational support to Inland Valley Humane Society & SPCA in Pomona, CA. She has also assisted with programming in Hawaii and Riverside County, CA, and prior to that, helped the Stanislaus Animal Services Agency in California reach an overall save rate of 91% in 2020.
She currently resides in the San Bernardino mountains of Southern California with her family of four kitties. Her passions are empowering shelter staff to create new opportunities for cat lifesaving, working with community members and rescue groups to collaborate with shelter support, and fostering cats—from bottle babies to seniors.
