Alyss Tsukayama, Pacific strategist

Alyss Tsukayama worked for Best Friends from 2013-2023. She began as a caregiver at the West LA adoption center (fka NKLA) and moved her way around different departments within LA Programs until landing with the Pacific Regional team. In 2023, she took a step away from animal welfare. She has now rejoined the Best Friends team supporting the work of the Pacific Region once again to continue our goal to 2025.

She was born and raised in Los Angeles and moved to Hawai´i to be closer to family. Alyss now resides on the island Moku o Keawe (Big Island) with her two dogs, Mandy and Muggsy, who were both foster fails from Los Angeles. She also lives with her husband, and fosters kittens and dogs from a few local rescues.
