Lisa Barrett came to Best Friends after six years as director of Carroll County Animal Services for Carroll County, Georgia. Lisa inherited a shelter that was struggling to achieve positive outcomes and killing animals at an extremely high rate. Lisa spearheaded a complete culture shift and implemented progressive lifesaving programming as well as fully embracing a no-kill philosophy. Carroll County Animal Services ultimately achieved no-kill and is currently maintaining its impressive lifesaving status. Lisa has many years of experience in animal control as well as shelter management. Her experience in transforming a high-kill shelter to no-kill position her as expert in this arena. Lisa covers the states of Alabama, Mississippi and Tennessee.
