Jean Gibowski, operations manager

Jean Gibowski is a Manager, Embed Project Operations with Best Friends. She is originally from Wisconsin but has also lived in Kentucky and most recently Silverdale, Washington. Jean has been involved in animal welfare for almost 40 years, starting as a kennel attendant at our local humane society and most recently as a veterinary practice manager.

Jean is a mom to two amazing adult daughters and two dogs, a border collie and a Chihuahua mix. She loves to be outside hiking, kayaking, or paddleboarding, and enjoys traveling, having visited all 50 states with her daughters as well as six countries (favorite destination is still Disney World!) When stuck indoors, Jean enjoys reading and crocheting. While living in Kentucky, Jean also started a rescue and helped to place more than 1000 pets (mostly dogs and puppies) during her time there.
