Angela Rovetto, Mid-Atlantic senior strategist

Angela Rovetto is a senior strategist for the East region and works closely with shelter leaders and community stakeholders helping them evolve services, programs and resources that increase their lifesaving capabilities. From identifying programmatic and operational opportunities to problem-solving and employing data driven strategies, Angela provides customized guidance to agencies and organizations helping people and pets in their communities.
Angela began at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary working with behaviorally & medically challenging dogs and has training and experience in emergency response. In 2012 she was a founding team member to establish Best Friends’ first program city in Los Angeles, opening 2 centers as part of a private-public partnership with Los Angeles Animal Services with the goal of Los Angles achieving a 90 percent save rate.
Working in L.A. for 6 years in low-income areas to downtown Santa Monica provided diverse hands-on experience in shelter operations and community programs. She led various teams who executed the evolving strategies and plans that supported the incremental lifesaving progress and draws on those experiences and lessons today when connecting with people about their communities. She worked closely building relationships and trust with coalition members and people in the communities.
In 2017 Angela joined the Regional team and currently focuses on developing relationships, collaborating & problem solving to save more lives in 4 states as well as contributing to projects addressing industry issues, trends, and topics.
