Shelter Veterinarian- The Palm Springs Animal Shelter (PSAS) Veterinarian is responsible for the direct veterinary care of all animals under the jurisdiction of the Palm Springs Animal Shelter. This includes animals inside the shelter, in short-term and long-term foster care, at adoption sites, as well as animals being transferred to other partner shelters and rescue organizations. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, animal medical oversight, budgeting, the allocation of funds as they pertain to veterinary services. They also include the direction of the medical department, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal guidelines, and meeting stated goals of the aforementioned responsibilities. The DVM will perform and oversee all veterinary services for shelter animals, maximizing the use of clinic resources to ensure animal resident health. Feline/Small Animal Manager- Animal Care League is looking for an enthusiastic and passionate person with sharp attention to detail to join our team as the Feline & Small Animal Manager. The Feline & Small Animal Manager is responsible for managing the feline and small mammal populations from intake to adoption in addition to managing programs and services related to the feline and small mammal populations (including foster, owner relinquishment and enrichment programs). The Shelter Manager is responsible for overseeing shelter operations including oversight of animal managers, adoption staff, kennel technicians, intake, animal control, population management, disease prevention and control, animal care and enrichment, adoption plans, and customer service. Community Cat Coordinator- The Humane Society of Charlotte (HSC) is seeking a Community Cat Coordinator.  This position will work closely with the VP of Community Programs & Strategic Initiatives to promote and advocate for programs that reduce free roaming cat populations and improve the lives of community cats primarily through Trap Neuter Return (TNR) and Return to Field (RTF) initiatives in Charlotte, NC.  Duties include assisting in coordinating the public/private partnership with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Animal Care & Control Agency with the goal of reducing cat shelter deaths, mitigating nuisance complaints, building community relations around community cats, and providing support for the Community Cat Program in general.  Ideal candidate must have one year of related experience and/or training, have excellent written and verbal communication and conflict resolution skills, be able to work flexible hours as needed and utilize professional, educational and positive communication with staff, public and government officials.
