Humane Society of Charlotte - Charlotte, NC

Animal Care Manager- Managed admission facility of annual intake of 3000+ animals looking for an experienced leader to oversee the animal care team.  The animal care team consists of a staff of 10 plus dedicated volunteers who will report to this position.  Responsibilities include the animal husbandry, medical and behavior needs and adoption counseling of the animals in our care.  Attention to detail, time, program and personnel management experience is a must. Must demonstrate positive energy level and great flexibility, have a pleasant persona coupled with sound judgment, be able to anticipate project needs, prioritize effectively, meet deadlines, and be willing to work most weekends and occasional evening shifts. Must demonstrate positive energy level and great flexibility, have a pleasant persona coupled with sound judgment, be able to anticipate project needs, prioritize effectively, meet deadlines, and be willing to work most weekends and occasional evening shifts. Beyond event organization this person is a builder of relationships with internal and external customers including our fosters, volunteers, adopters, and donors.
