Feline Programs Coordinator- The Feline Programs Coordinator develops relationships with and acts as a liaison between JHS, other organizations, and individuals to promote and support community cat initiatives. Responsibilities include: coordinate cat surgery events, coordinate and facilitate the return to field program, directly supervise the return to animal transport driver, works across multiple departments, with multiple managers and coordinators, trains others on trapping and colony best practices, communicate and coordinate with community cat trappers and caretakers, gather, maintain, track and report data related to community cats, partner with the community to reduce shelter intake, coordinate schedules for optimal coverage at JHS, provide support to animal transport driver, maintains cat colony software/database, encourage/facilitate caretaker activities, including training, address and document any issues that arise with staff in coordination with supervisor, document all performance issues, perform daily walk-throughs of assigned areas, check email frequently throughout the day and address issues in a timely manner, keep open communication with your supervisor, be proactive and discuss solutions if you are falling behind, and other duties as assigned. Lifesaving Veterinarian- Providing low- and no-cost spay/neuter services to low-income families is the cornerstone of our clinical practice. We are looking for a part-time Veterinarian to work 20-30 hours per week on a contract basis performing spay/neuter surgeries and assisting with emergency triage, fracture management, hospice, and internal medicine cases as needed. This position plays an important role in maximizing the number of lives that we are able to save by providing quality medical care in a cost and time-effective manner. We are looking for a veterinarian who is excited by the challenge of making decisions based on physical examination/carefully chosen diagnostics and history, without all the bells and whistles of a large, fully-staffed animal hospital. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of small animal experience and be comfortable providing high quality and high volume spay/neuter services and managing a high volume medical caseload. This person will co-manage, along with a Clinic Director, the onsite clinic and serve as a mentor and leader for all clinic staff and volunteers.
