November 20, 2006 : From Debby's journal:
As Puff always seems to charm those who meet her with her good looks, warm personality and sharp wit, I choose to have her be my assistant at a recent talk I did for the “How to Start a Sanctuary” workshop.
She was calm and collected as I explained to the participants on the importance of doing “bunny tune-ups”: trimming nails, checking the ears, teeth, and feeling the coat for unwanted lumps and bumps. During the break the class came up and gave Puff lots of pets and compliments which she seemed to love. I think she thinks she is very deserving of all this attention and of course, she is!
Little Zorro remained in the carrier as he has a bit of stage fright. He did pop his head up once as if to say, “Where’s my girl?” After their “work” was done they were whisked back to the Bunny House for extra treats for doing a good job.
Maybe being an education assistant will be a new career for Puff? We are thinking it over!
