Jenn Stone is a senior specialist for the Pacific Regional team. She began her career in animal welfare with Best Friends in 2015, after spending more than 10 years as a touring musician. She started as a TNVR (trap, neuter, vaccinate, return) fieldworker in the Los Angeles area and quickly moved to supporting community cat programs (CCPs) in municipal shelters all over the country. In addition to helping launch and sustain various lifesaving programs, she has also provided operational support to shelters ranging from some of the largest in the nation to small rural facilities. Prior to joining the Pacific team, she helped the Stanislaus Animal Services Agency in California reach an overall save rate of 91% in 2020. From there she worked with the Shelter Embed team to provide virtual training and on-the-ground support for agencies in South Dakota, Texas, New Jersey, New Mexico, Hawaii, and Washington.

She currently resides in the San Bernardino mountains of Southern California with her family of four kitties. Her passions are training and empowering shelter staff, giving leadership tools for successful change management, and collaborating with the public to inspire community supported sheltering. Much to the chagrin of her cats, she also enjoys fostering felines—from bottle babies to seniors.
