The Best Friends Network has volunteer openings in our City, State, and International Communities.
We’re seeking people with a couple of hours a week (between naps), a computer with an Internet connection, a team player attitude, and a love of animals. We offer flexible scheduling (you can work any day/any time on your tasks), training, and ongoing support. You can also earn internship or community service hours with one of these positions.
One of our Network volunteer positions may be right for you:
News Writer - you can research and write stories from around the entire state or report locally by attending and reporting on events from your own town. Write your original articles and then post them in the News area of your community.
Forums Moderator - Help moderate the forum discussions and add topics to generate involvement between community members and visitors. Keep the forums current, organized, and updated.
Resources & Calendar Specialist - research websites, documents, and events that would be of interest to the Community, from local shelters and rescues to national educational sites and events hosted by your community’s shelters. Then post them under the Resources tab and Calendar tabs.
Team Leaders - Each region and community has a leadership team of volunteers joined by paid staff of Best Friends Animal Society. If you’re interested in coordinating events, activities, and/or the content of your region’s communities, as well as helping out the other volunteers working on your community, this may be the role for you.
Since the community is online you can make your own hours and help animals without even leaving your home. Make the position of your choice as big or as small as you want.
