People from across the country network to help this little pup.
By Joyce Jefferson, Best Friends Network VolunteerStitch hails from Maryland and is only 5 weeks old. He didn't have a good start in life. His mother dog, an English Mastiff, apparently wasn't ready for the stork. She attacked her newborn pups. Out of 14, 3 died and 1 was badly wounded, which is the puppy in this story.
He had to have stitches, which is how he came by his name. But he had far worse problems. He seems unable to focus his eyes, and he walks in circles. He was on the verge of being euthanized, when United Rescue members learned of his plight and sent out cries of help, like ripples in a pond.
Tri County Humane Society in Boca Raton, Florida was willing to take him. They sent out a request for someone to fly the puppy to them in
first class, not in cargo. A good Samaritan in New Jersey with a two-seater plane stepped forward, and Stitch was soon zipping through the sky to Florida.

So the prescription for now is time, lots of care and love, and observation. He will undergo a neurological work up at about 3 months of age.
Let's all send out good thoughts of hope and blessings for the little guy. Donations are always needed and welcome at Tri County Humane Society. You can visit their site by clicking
