I have been rehoming animals for many years. Mostly I am found by dogs. I have medical and pschological training, so I am often given dogs with behavior problems and/or severe medical problems. It is very rewarding to bring them back to health, both physically and spiritually. I cannot walk very much now due to severe peripheral neuropathy and, sadly, this has curtailed my activities. I live with 5 very old dogs who failed adoptions. I live with a border collie/Aussie/Cattle dog something mix named Roscoe, an Aussie named Walatowa for the mountains where we found her after she was hit by a car (she was feral), a Chow named Missywith multiple genetic disorders, who was removed from her owners due to severe abuse and neglect and two sisters, one of whom looks like a very blond Chesapeake retriever and the other looks like a German Shepherd with short body hair. Thelma and Louise both have german shepherd tails. They are smart and stubborn. these dogs were of breeds that need a lot of training. They taught me to be a pack leader. (Hint: Show that you control the food supply!) Clicker training and positive reinforcement are our bywords
