We (my husband and I and our son) share our home with six rescues; one canine furbaby named Shannon and six feline furbabies; Princess, Diamond, Billy, Tammy, Lizzie, and Libby. We have been involved with the local Petmart with cat adoptions and also with Compassion for Camden.
Our beloved Chessi, who passed away last January, was a shining example of how love can heal the body as well as the spirit. She was rescued from deplorable conditions in Camden, New Jersey in 1993. Five months later, we took her home from the hospital. She lived the ripe old age of 16 and died in our arms with grace and dignity.
I truly believe all God's creatures deserve our love and respect; just the same as they give us unconditionally.
