I am the proud "mom"/dog owner of an 11 year old yellow lab named Jake. I grew up on a small "Old McDonald" type of farm and had instilled in me the love of animals. Unfortunately, I was not able to have children but have been blessed by several loving dogs -- Jake and my dog immediately prior to him being like my children. My other dogs were during my youth and were my best friends. My dream is to one day have a place with a lot of acreage where I can have a K-9 sanctuary -- a place for all homeless or unadopted shelter dogs to live out their lives in peace and love.
