Throughout July, the
Austin Humane Society (AHS) will be hosting a very special fundraiser to support our goal to
spay and neuter a record number of feral cats in one year – 5,000!
When you donate this month,
your donations will be matched DOLLAR FOR DOLLAR by three very generous AHS supporters, Michael & Lara Gale and Kathy Girling. It's never been a better time to give.
“This year we have already seen a decrease in the number of cats and kittens being brought in to our City of Austin’s
Town Lake Animal Center,” noted Leticia Stivers, AHS Feral Cat Program Coordinator. “Last year we spayed/neutered over 1,500 cats, this year we have already reached 2,300 spays and neuters, we are thrilled that our efforts are paying off!”
This special fundraising initiative is designed to raise a total of $30,000 for the
Feral Cat Spay and Neuter Program.
Donate today – help us meet our goal.
HOW YOU CAN HELP:
• Support this innovative program and help the Austin Humane Society and Austin-area feral trappers and caregivers attain their goal of fixing 5,000 feral cats in 2008. Your
donation to the Feral Cat Spay and Neuter Program can help make that possible.
• Although the ferals are returned to their colonies after being spayed or neutered, there are still plenty of very
friendly felines available for adoption from AHS. Come down to the shelter today and see if you fall in love. Kitties not your thing? There are also plenty of
tail wagging pups also on the lookout for their forever homes.
