The public is invited to the Heart of Texas Feral Friends "Feral Cat Forum" on Thursday, July 17.

The event, co-hosted by the Animal Birth Control Clinic of Waco and the Waco Humane Society, will begin 5:45 p.m. The Waco Humane Society is located at 2032 Circle Road in Waco (behind the Rudy's BBQ and The Elite Café).

Topics to be discussed include general information about feral cats, the benefits of Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR), and handy tips to peacefully co-exist with feral cats in your neighborhood.

People who are currently feeding feral cats and would like more information about TNR are encouraged to attend. Please forward to your family, friends and/or neighbors who may be need help, or who may want to help with the TNR program.

Here is a link to a flyer that can be posted around town. If you are able, we would appreciate your help in printing off a few copies, cutting along the dotted lines, and posting in public/business locations (with approval, if needed).

Thanks in advance for your help in getting the word out about this important forum!

HOW YOU CAN HELP:

1. Love cats? If so, join with other Heart of Texas Feral Friends volunteers by attending Thursday’s feral forum. Learn more about helping the local cats in a compassionate way.

2. If you are unable to trap and care for ferals, perhaps you can support the trappers’ and caretakers’ work financially. Tax-deductible donations can be made to:

ABC Clinic
1531 Wooded Acres
Waco, Texas 76710
Please make payments out to “ABC Clinic TNR Program”

3. Another way to help control the feral populations is to please be sure to have your own companion cats spayed or neutered. Even indoor-only cats occasionally escape, and if not sterilized, can become a part of the pet overpopulation problem.
