Loudon County Shelter Overrun With Dogs and Cats That Need Immediate Homes

The Loudon County Animal Shelter is currently housing strays from both Loudon County and neighboring Blount County. Blount County currently does not have a shelter and is contracted with Loudon until a new facility can be built. The Loudon shelter is very small and with the influx of dogs and cats coming in from two counties, many are having to be euthanized due to lack of space before they even have a chance of getting adopted. Please open up your home to one of these precious animals and give them a chance at life by either adopting one or fostering one. The Loudon County Shelter can be contacted by calling (865)458-5590.
