The Fix Foundation works to prepare to help provide low-cost Spay/Neuter to Southern Kentucky and Northern Mid-Tennessee!
The Fix Foundation, founded as a non profit in January 2005 and officially incorporated in 2007 is located in Franklin, Kentucky (off Exit 2 I-65. The Spay/Neuter clinic, which is scheduled to open in May of 2008, is being built next door to the Simpson County Animal Shelter. They will be located on 1.5 acres donated by the city of Franklin. The building will be 30’ x 60’ with spanking new equipment. They plan to have separate dog and cat holding areas, a surgical room, and a surgical prep area.
Following North Carolina’s Humane Alliance Spay/Neuter program model, they intend to provide transport within a 50-70 mile radius which will include Northern Mid-TN. They look forward to working with area rescues not only to help with their own group’s spay/neuters but also to help them arrange community spay/neuters in their areas.
