Little RONDA is now living with her family in Denmark!!!
Ronda left behind for good the village of Montellanos (Sevilla), and put plenty of distance in between her and the horrific abuses suffered by galgos. Today she is living happily with a family who loves her, together with her new canine siblings.
Below is her sad story.
Ronda is a little female galgo who we rescued from the village of Montellano (Sevilla), as always, in Spain. Now she is at Kimba and once again history repeats itself of how the galgos are treated in the villages of Spain.
"Ronda" was roaming through the village of Montellano and had the misfortune of entering a building which was under construction. She found her way onto a terrace where fresh concrete had just been poured. She became trapped with her four feet in the concrete.
A local dimwit, who was working on the project, saw her and got the clever idea to amuse himself by throwing rocks at her while she was unable to move. The only thing she could do was to endure the rocks that were being thrown at her.
The crane operator on the jobsite happened to witness this abuse and he intervened and reprimanded the individual for his inhumane act. The dimwit in question told him not to worry, that he would just kill the dog with rocks and bury her right there in the wet concrete where "Ronda" had gotten trapped.
This kind man came down off of the crane and removed her from the concrete, and after covering her he called Kimba, and we then made arrangements to have her brought to the shelter.
Today "Ronda" is recovering from her abuse, and little by little is becoming less fearful of humans. She is still very thin, but totally healthy. She has had a complete blood analysis, all of her vaccinations, her anti parasite treatment, and now has her passport in hand to leave Spain as soon as possible.
The only thing she is missing now is a family to take her.
Many thanks to all of you.
