Viewing animal suffering with interfaith eyes...
Rosek Nursahid, an Indonesian Muslim biologist and the founder of ProFauna, established a non-governmental organization to help prevent the illegal trafficking of wildlife --much is a result of habitat loss in Indonesia.
Nursahid’s approach has two components: a.
Activism: Rescuing animals and encouraging the the government to enact and enforce Indonesian environmental laws, and when necessary, confronting the animal traffickers.
b.
Education: Holding classes and workshops at the camp for students, teachers, government officials and other members of the public.
