Happy News - Murry is Adopted!
April 6, 2008 : 7:42 PM
Murry is an amazing dog who has suffered through so much in his life. He was emaciated, dehydrated, and extremely scared of people before Sonja and the Old Bridge Animal Shelter captured him. He had wounds all over his body from animal and human abuse.
The shelter provided an amazing care through their staff and voluntteers. Then, a few days ago, he barked aggressively making a supervisor nervous, and making Murry's search for a home urgent. Well, we have happy news to report! A loving person has adopted Murry, who is now happy in his home and absolutely adored by his new family, and he's learning what cats are all!

Murry is an ingenious little fellow. He is approximately 2 years old and still retains the innocence of a puppy. However, he is mature in his mannerism and is very obedient. He is negative for heartworm, has had his distemper shot, is de-wormed, frontlined, and had his rabies shots. Murry displays no food aggression, no toy aggression, and is house broken. He ignores cats and rabbits that are in the background, but like to give them a quick hello. Murry knows commands such as sit, stay, no, and off. He likes to drink fresh water form the sink, and sit in chairs. Murry is protective of those who take care of him, and does not like to share their attention. Upon meeting strangers, he may start off by being a little shy, but warms up as they interact. He does not like the kennel, and does not wish to be kept in one. When Murry is scared, he is likely to pass gas. A few teeth on one side of his mouth need to be pulled out eventually, but it is not urgent and they do not bother him.
Murry is a very affectionate dog that has suffered through a substantial amount already in his short 2 years. Murry was clearly and terribly abused before he was rescued, but Murry is just like any other lovable canine: all he wants is a warm home and a nice belly rub. He loves to give kisses, and loves to share pizza with you. He doesn’t ask for much, just for love. This is just another dog that wishes he had a family who loved him, a family to play with and spend quality time with. Please find it in your hearts to take Murry under your shelter. Right now, he is giving all he can, but receiving no justice in return.
