Helping to work toward no more homeless pets in Michigan
All About Animals Rescue (AAAR) is proud to announce that their Spay/Neuter Clinic is now open five days per week. The facility launched in February, but only provided surgeries two days per month. Seeing the great need for more quality, low-cost sterilization options in the area, the clinic has expanded their hours to be open Monday through Friday.
“Spay/neuter is critical to reaching the goal of No More Homeless pets in Michigan,” noted Amber Sitko, AAAR President. “Sadly, Michigan’s economy is in bad shape and now with the price of gas, families do not have money for essentials like spay/neuter surgeries. Combine the economy with the high prices charged by many veterinarians and spay/neuter just will not be done. The number of homeless animals will continue to rise and the number of animals dying in shelters will rise. Our clinic helps to address the problem by providing quality, safe surgery for a reduced cost.”
The cost to spay or neuter a cat is $40 and a dog is $80, which includes a dewormer. Since the typical cost to fix a pet in the area is around $200, the new clinic offers a significant savings to the public, and reduced fees are available to low-income Warren residents. Flea preventative, FIV/FeLV combo tests, heartworm tests, and vaccinations are also available for an extra fee.
In addition to adult animals, the AAAR clinic performs pediatric spays and neuters. All kittens and puppies must be a minimum of two pounds and eight weeks of age. They also fix feral cats, including ear tipping at no additional charge.
Appointments are required.
To celebrate this momentous occasion, the AAAR is hosting a grand opening celebration. If you are interested in joining the festivities, please e-mail
