I don't really know what to say about myself so I'll start with the basics. I have 8 dogs and 2 cats, all of whom have been rescued. As a matter of fact, one of them is cutting off the circulation to my feet as I type=) Some friends and I are trying to open an animal sanctuary now in Monterey County, Ca but are coming up with a roadblock with trying to raise funds to buy the land we really want. It's 726 acres, tucked behind a beautiful hilly area but still right off the freeway so it has easy access. We need a few things to help us get moving along. A website, with our own e-mail addresses for just the sanctuary, someone (or multiple people) to give us fundraising ideas at which we seem to be losing the fight to even be able to table and just people to spread the word of what we are trying to do so we can get whatever help people are willing to give. We want and appreciate any and all ideas, information or help anyone can give us!!! Outside of trying to start the sanctuary, I am currently working as an EMT and trying to get hired now as a Paramedic. I love my job more than I can say!!! Every day is different and most days I go home feeling as if I've really made a difference in someones life, sometimes my job makes a huge difference in my own. I've learned to appreciate every second I have with the people (and animals) I love and really make sure I show them every day how very much I love them, which translates to some very spoiled puppies=) Any questions you may have about me, the sanctuary or the group of us starting it, pls write me or check out our myspace at myspace.com/a_h_a_s.
