I had been in animal rescue for over 20 years in NC, though as a volunteer before working for Best Friends. I have 5 dogs and 8 cats, all rescues, several being fosters I could not place. I came to work @ BF in January, 2005.After nearly 3 years as a dog caregiver here, 4 months at Old Friends, and over 2 1/2 years at the Garden (along with dips into other areas of Dogtown and Dogtown Heights), I am now a dog trainer. Now the learning of this fascinating species REALLY begins! This new career with Best Friends began in September, 2007.The dog in my photo is Phoebe, who was a resident of Old Friends, but has since been adopted. She looks so much like one of my personal dogs, Mindy.
