Since I retired at the early age of 55, I went head on into volunteer work. I drive critically ill clients to their doctors appts., etc. Most of all, I work with homeless dogs. I'm a member of United Animal Nations) & am certified with their program EARS (Emergency Animal Rescue Service). My 2 dogs are 7 & 11, both rescued of course, & rather than calling them mutts, I call them "customed made". One is a hound mix, the other is a border collie mix. They're tired of foster dogs, & I'm tired of the "tiffs", etc. After trying to break up a couple fights I'm also tired of having to go to the ER for stitches too. In other words, no more foster dogs. I'm hoping to go to Reno in late April or May to help with the bunnies. Had a bunny 30 years ago, & boy was he cuddly. Too bad they like to eat speaker cords, the bottom of drapes, etc. He even chewed through the phone cord when I was talking with someone. Remember phones with cords? haha
