I have been an animal lover all of my life. I spent 10 years doing feral cat/kitten rescue and in 2008 I became active in the "Stop Puppy Mills" movement after I went to Washington DC to lobby for the newly introduced "Baby's Bill." I am currently an assistant organizer for a Meetup group in Seattle, we are conducting peaceful protests at a pet shop selling puppy mill pups. This year I lobbied in my state for the puppy mill bill (it passed!) and am heading back to Washington DC in July to lobby for humane treatment of animals.
I have 3 wonderful cats, Scarlett, Tony & Little Man. The boys were both feral kittens but now are loving house cats. Scarlett was a stray that now has a permanent place in my heart and home.
