I am a registered nurse at Johns Hopkins Hospital, but before I moved on to people I was a vet tech. I'm a foster parent for the Maryland SPCA, working with orphaned kittens and also volunteer with the Humane Society, Alley Cat Allies and Rude Ranch, a no-kill shelter for special needs cats. Have you caught on that I'm a crazy cat lady? >^..^<

I have two wonderful daughters, one who is a middle school teacher and the other is an honors student at La Salle university in Philadelphia, majoring in education. They were brought up to love and respect all living things.

At home, I have a black cat, Ma'ari, from the Humane Society and Grietjes, who I rescued from a high kill shelter in Michigan. I would love to have a dog, but my apartment only allows two cats. I very much hope to visit Best Friends in November. >^..^<
