Hi, I am from India and do voluntary work with street animals in the city of Bombay .. I love all animals and believe every animal is entitled to a dignified life , love and compassion and a dignified death when its his time to leave us. Animals teach humans a lot, they are extremely tolerant, tough, extremely loving and affectionate and have tremendous intuition and are perceptive.
I work towards relieving suffering of animals and birds in a very small way. What I do is a very small drop in the ocean but it is all like us who truly care for animals and their welfare, that can bring about a change for better for them in this world.
I have worked more with companion animals mainly cats and dogs. I manage a cattery which houses mainly physically challenged cats -amputated limbs, those with birth defects, those on whom cruelty has been inflicted, cats with spinal problems and partial paralysis . Abandoned helpless kittens and cats are also given ashelter here. I have learnt a lot from animals and if a person loves animals he/she is blessed in a very special way. I believe in TNR spaying/ neutering of feral and free-roaming cats and dogs and find this an effective and humane way of reducing unwanted kittens and pups and also managing to keep the grown animals healthy . I would be interested in communicating with people who are like minded from different cultural backgrounds and learning more about Animal Welfare from Animal Work professionals.
Besides animal work I am a professional from the Fragrance-Cosmetic industry . My other interests like movies, theatre , music, gardening . It would be good to know people with like minded views and thoughts who love animals.
