I discovered Best Friends in early 2007 while searching for a way to blend my passions for animal welfare, global issues and writing. Currently I'm a volunteer news writer and team leader for the Best Friends Network Nevada community. My husband and I share our home near Lake Tahoe with a pair of rescue calicos, Roxie and Sammie.
