I've just moved here (Feb 14, 07) from Tallahassee Florida. I've been visiting and volunteering at Best Friends since 2004. During my first visit to this area I told myself "don't ever take this place for granted - don't ever 'get used to seeing it' - I drove 4 days cross country with my 4 large, lab-mix dogs (Chekov, Jet, Cagney and Lacey) - it was an adventure! Everyone is settled in now and doing great.

Update: Thursday March 8th - sadly, my oldest dog, Chekov, passed away yesterday at the age of 16 years and 3 months. He had a very long, happy and exciting life and will be missed very much...

I'm working with Mike Lindley in the IS department as a Business Systems Analyst and I'm looking forward to meeting and working with lots of people from all areas of Best Friends. My background is information systems and I've just completed my masters in instructional design from Florida State University and hope to put that training to good use here.

My hobbies are photography, videography, reading mysteries, hiking and off road adventures (I don't have a 4 WD yet) and planning and building a new house in VCE.
