I am married with 3 grown children and 2 granddaughters. I love all animals and respect their right to life, but I have a special connection to cats (for some reason). Between my husband and I, and one son and daughter-in-law, we have rescued many stray cats off the streets. We have given them medical care and spayed & neutered them with our own money. We have found homes for many and have adopted some of them into our family. We believe in life-long commitments to your animals. We are involved in two nonprofits -- Friends of the Fort Worth Nature Center and CLASP (Cowtown Loves Animal Shelter Pets). CLASP supports the FW Animal Care and Control Center in education and fundraising. Our big project right now is garnering support (monetary and otherwise) to add an adoption center to the FWACCC. The adoption center was cut out of the budget back in 1997 and has never been added back on. It was badly needed then and is more so now. A spay/neuter clinic is being built, which is tremendous progress, but the adoption center is important as well.
