I grew up in Salt Lake City, but never knew about Best Friends until 2000, when a friend told me she got paid to work with animals! I applied immediately. Who can imagine anything better than that?

I'm now a hydrotherapist learning canine acupressure. I was a vet tech at Cats until I found out I'm allergic. I have three cats, and I take allergy meds so I can sleep with them. I did animal rescue out of New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina. At the time I had been living in South Carolina, but I stayed six months in Tylertown, and moved back to Kanab at the end of March 2006. Now I'm working with dogs and I love it! I took care of dogs in the clinic in Tylertown, and fell in love with them there. Before that I thought I was a cat person. Now I know I go both ways. :)

I'm happy to be back in Kanab, working with Best Friends, doing something I love every day, and living in this gorgeous area. I feel blessed.
