Hi! I am a Community Animal Assistance Specialist at Best Friends Animal Society in Kanab, UT. I moved here in July 2004 from Omaha, NE, to follow my dreams of being a voice for the animals of the world. I grew up in a very small town in southeastern Nebraska and there were always animals around...dogs, cats, horses, cows, goats, rabbits, gerbils, pigs, poultry, frogs, newts and even a little bullsnake that I tried to nurse back to health. So, I guess it's no surprise that I ended up at Best Friends in the Community Animal Assistance department...I've been caring for them as long as I can remember!Prior to my move to Best Friends, I earned degrees in Travel & Tourism Marketing and Interior Design. After spending 19 years in the airline and travel industry, I decided it was time to move on. Life is too short to spend it NOT making a difference on this earth!I share my home with my 7 year old son Elias (the 2 legged kind!), my bully whippets Beppa Sue and Beebers, and 6 wonderfully purrfect kitties...Puff, Pasha, Presley, Spidey Spittle Spot, Hootie and Monkey. I also have 2 fab rabs, my bunny couple Donny & Marie Conejo! I'm also the foster mom to a very special potbellied pig named Harley Arnold Ziffle, or Ziffle for short. It's not a very quiet home but it's filled with lots of love...and pet hair!
