I worked at a veterinary hospital for three years as a vet tech. I started working in the kennel and moved up. I have assisted in surgery, gave vaccines, read test results, ran labs, assited in animal handling. I volunteered at Best Friends in Tylertown after seeing a clip on CNN and had a great time working in the clinic. My first trip down was to volunteer for the week. It was a trip that would forever change my life in a positive way. My second trip down was even more special with my dad joining me to take supplies. We drove down through New Orleans on the way home and it broke my heart to see the destruction. My heart goes out to everybody that lost something there. It made me so grateful to those who have given there time to others.
