I moved to Kanab after accepting a Feline Vet Tech position in early 2006. Since January 2007, I have been the Lead Vet Tech for the large animal departments (Horse Haven and Piggy Paradise). I am honored to work alongside Dr. Tara with these magnificent animals who have an incredible impact on my life. "Home" is Bloomington, Illinois. My degree is in Early Childhood Education. However after a stint of teaching, I started to pursue that which truly motivates me. I worked at the Humane Society of Central Illinois for two years and went to post-Katrina New Orleans where I worked in search & rescue and at a medical triage. That road eventually led me to Best Friends and Kanab where I now live with my “small but tough” three-pound puppy mill rescue, Lilly Jane, her cat Augie, and the four cats she allows me to claim as my own.
