Parrot_Mom 's Biography
I began my journey into the world of parrots over 10 years ago when I was in school to become a Certified Veterinary Technician and went to work for an avian veterinarian. Since then, I have worked in the medical end of things as well as the psychological, social and behavioral aspects of these amazing animals. Before coming here, I was the Director of Avian Welfare for The Gabriel Foundation in Colorado. Being able to contribute to the well-being of the parrots here at Best Friends is honor and a privilege. I share my home with a deaf Aussie, a B&G Macaw and several small birds.
