My pit adopted me. He came out of a ditch. Bloody and swollen from a fight and half starved to death. I was afraid of him, but stopped and said if he came to me I would help him. I got him neutered and stitched up. He oozed blood and puss for over a week. The vet thought we might have to amputate his leg. It was so swollent that he had no ankle or definition in his leg. I started him in a training class that was taught by a pitbull rescue. He got stronger every day. I was really happy he had some obedience under his belt once his energy came back. What a strong bull he is!!! My mother had died recently and he became a real source of humor for me. He is a very funny boy!!! I have never regretted stopping to help him. What an education he has been for me.
