First of all, I'm the mother of 4 'kids'. Emma Lou, my beautiful shelter dog; Elliott, my handsome Meyers parrot; and Thelma and Louise, 2 rescued guinea pigs who I'm pretty sure believe that they are rabbits with small ears : )
My position in life at the age of 54.... After 30+ years of General Managerial experience I, like so many others, have decided that my love for animals and their welfare far exceeds the goals of my current job. To take this knowledge that I have and turn it into the most positive way of life that I can think of...helping animals and becoming a part of the solution...is how I want to spend the rest of my life. I have never wanted anything more than to be a part of Best Friends and do whatever I can to help the cause. Even moving from a home that I have lived in for over 30 years to relocate to Kanab, Utah is proving to be much easier than I had ever imagined. I'm still living in my current home but am working toward employment with the sanctuary, if and when they will take me. Until that time, I would love to volunteer and help out where needed. Please note that I have a love for writing and have worked with many community outreaches in promoting fundraisers and other causes. I'm here and I'm ready to help!!!
