Hi, I am Cathy, an accountant from Bergen County, NJ. I started volunteering with Best Friends after they came to help out 'Pets Alive' in Middletown NY. What amazing work they have done there. The place is packed with not only the most wonderful animals and great volunteers & staff. Pup and Kittie playtime, Cow Kisses, nibbling duckie, "going goating", brushing pigs til they fall asleep..... I couldn't really ask for more.Being a part of the rescue effort with the dogs that were saved from the PuppyMill in VA was the most rewarding experience yet. being a small part of such a huge effort is just an amazing feeling. Now getting the rescued pup's kisses of thanks is the reward. We may not have saved every abused animal out there but together Best Friends Staff, All The Groups In Virgina that helped prep the dogs for transport here, and ALL the volunteers here and there, made it a better life for these wonderful loving pups.
