I am the proud parent of 2 dogs- Daisy (my chug) & Bradrick (my pit bull), and 4 cats- Beau, Thomas, Gracie, & Annie. My Beau has been my baby for almost 17 years. He was only 2 days old when he found me. Thomas was adopted from the vet clinic I work at after his former mother wanted him put down. Gracie and Annie were ferel cats that lived in the woods by my work. I caught them and their mother to get them spayed and they eventually moved in with me. Daisy was found roaming the street half starved and covered in fleas and ticks. Bradrick found me while I was at work one day. He was scared and hungry. I never intended on keeping him, but he picked us to be his family. I have always been involved in animal rescue. I try to make as big of a difference as I can. After Bradrick came a few years ago, I became very interested in BSL. I had always liked pit bulls, but never really knew how much people dislike them. Having him in my life has truly changed my outlook. I am amazed almost every time that people are so frightened by pit bulls, but don't even know what one looks like. It drives me crazy that people think they should be put down becuase of their breed. I really want to provide people with positive experiences wtih Bradrick. I feel that if we have changed just one person's opinion of the breed we have made a difference in some small way. I have worked in animal healthcare for about 7 years and have been a volunteer at our local humane society as well.
