LA Animal Services Offers Youth Education, Adoptions at Sunday Fest
Cesar Millan, aka the Dog Whisperer, will appear at the Be Kind to Animals Week Humane Education for Youth program sponsored by LA Animal Services this Sunday, May 10 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the North Central Animal Care Center, 3201 Lacy St., Los Angeles 90031
The event is co-hosted by Council members Ed Reyes (CD-1), Jose Huizar (CD-14); Tony Cardenas (CD-6) and Monica Garcia, LAUSD Board president, District 2. The program will teach attendees about the unique bond between humans and animals.
In addition, the Amanda Foundation mobile clinic will offer free spay/neuter services for dogs and cats to are residents of the City of Los Angeles and meet income requirements. Those seeking these services are asked to bring proof of residence in the form of a utility bill.
Spay/neuter appointments may be scheduled prior to the event by calling (888) FIX-PETT (349-7388).
