These are very difficult moments for the animals after the natural disaster.
After the earthquake, thousands of animals have been left abandoned -- dogs, cats, and donkeys. Many people have left the area, leaving their animals behind.
The animals are starving, have wounds and trauma, and many have died.
We urgently need help with the following:
Dog and cat food - first aid trauma medicine
Transportation for supplies and relief workers
Resources to enable us to set up a Temporary Shelter for the animal victims
Logistical support for the volunteers -- field supplies and food
Thank you for any help that you could offer us. We will be sending photos of the tragedy that has affected the animals. The magnitude of the disaster is incalculable.
Our regular program of help for the Donkeys and Horses in Huancavelica has been affected just as the city of Ica has.
We will look forward to hearing from you, for any contacts that you could offer to us and for support with transportation to help and rescue the animals.
The address given below is for the purpose of centralizing supplies that can then be sent on to southern Peru by our volunteers.
We are in need of vehicles, either lent or donated, because we anticipate a long-term need to provide help for the animals. We have volunteer drivers and veterinarians who need transportation and emergency equipment for treating animals.
Thank you for any help you can offer!
