Dogs need IMMEDIATE placement - UPDATE 04-07-07

Remaining Dogs at this Waynesboro, TN Shelter that must be Rescued!

Please cross post this to all Pit, Hound and Dog Rescues in TN, AL, MS, NC,
SC, KY, MO & AR!! The senior Beagle/Basset shown here has been rescued.
The others have not.

This is the S. TN shelter in Waynsboro, TN, that all of you have already
helped so much! Maria, a volunteer down there, who runs "Cause for Paws"
Animal Rescue, is trying to place the last of the dogs from the shelter
before they are gassed!! This shelter is being phased out in order for the
county to build a new one, however no one knows when. The animals here were
just left, without care from the county, to starve! Maria and just a few
volunteers have been feeding and cleaning out runs to try to keep the dogs
going, until they can be placed. Maria already has 36 dogs and that many
cats at her house, and cannot take any more.
Only the Pitties and Hounds are left now to be placed!

The city is giving Cause For Paws Rescue a very short time to find homes and rescues for the dogs or about 15 dogs will be euthanized.

These companion animals have all been at the pound for quite some time with the hopes of adoption but help is URGENTLY NEEDED The City is giving Cause For Paws Rescue this time to place these dogs with rescues and hopeful adoptors. These are all friendly dogs. They are in a clean environment, appear to be pretty healthy and well cared for. The city no longer has an ACO so these dogs are desparately in need of immediate placement or they ALL WILL BE PUT TO SLEEP
