Rescues and caring folks from Hardin County banded together and all the animals remaining at the shelter were adopted or relocated - NONE will be euthanized!!!
----------------------------------------

ALL Puppies/Dogs and Kittens/Cats remaining at shelter as of Friday, June 30th will be euthanized.

The shelter is planning a total cleanup June 29 so animals must be relocated, any remaining as of Friday, June 30th will be euthanized.

Photos of the available animals desperately needing rescued may be
seen on the Tennessee River Rescues Petfinder site at:
http://www.petfinder.org/shelters/TN329.html
ALL of the Savannah/Hardin County Animal Shelter animals name IDs begin with
SHCAS
. They are posted to this site as a courtesy listing.
You must contact the shelter to save one of these animals.

If you can possibly rescue even one of these creatures, please call
the shelter at 731-925-3303 to let them know you will pull that
animal no later than Friday.
Their phone often stays busy. Keep trying!
They are open weekdays from 8 – 5, but often someone is onsite as early as 7 a.m.

This is a sad world when we take care of a 'problem' by killing it! These poor creatures have done nothing to get this fate. It is we humans who are lazy, uncaring and have no responsibilities towards others that make this world the way it is!

I can only hope that these creatures will find homes.

The high-kill municipal Savannah/Hardin County Animal Shelter only has 6 puppies, a Husky mix, and a Black Lab left that still need adopted or rescued. There have been six adoptions and six rescues! Three kittens scheduled to be adopted by one lady tomorrow.

Thank you!

Great News!!!

All the animals have been adopted or rescued as of the end of day Thursday, June 29.

Rescuers, fosters, and adopters from Hardin County opened their hearts and have saved them all!!!

Thank you for letting me post the information and sharing with others.
