UPDATE: May 8, 2006
Per Debbie Foster, Henderson County Humane Society:
This is concerning me more and more. I have more pictures. They are graphic..you might not want to look at them. The dog that was hit by a car is still lying there. And the one that was decapitated has been moved to a different place and is still on the property... I guess that's the same one I don't know...David said there was what appeared to be a skeleton of an animal near the pen, but his battery ran down on the camera...also there were lots of leashes ,etc, hung out around in the trees...Bill Martin has been fighting us on the animal cruelty issue from the very beginning...We have tried to get other animal cruelty cases prosecuted, but got nowhere...we have pictures of starving dogs, and we could never get anything done...also in this county there were two horses shot and they know who did it and as far as I know they didn't do anything to them either.

UPDATE: May 7, 2006
There has been an arrest in this case. Class E Felony Aggravated Cruelty to Animals - $10,000 bond.

There were originally seven dogs, one dead at the scene, one hit by a car and killed, and five were rescued and are safe. They are being cared for at an undisclosed location.

UPDATE: May 4, 2006

---------------------------------------------------------

May 1, 2006 – Need Help - One dog dead!!!!!

Debbie Foster of the Henderson County Humane Society in Lexington, Tennessee says the Sheriff's Dept says they “will write the report tomorrow...they are behind! “.

Debbie begs, “Someone please, please help! We continue to get the run around! The sherriff's deputy went out to this hell hole and said he didn't have time to write a report today, it would be tomorrrow!
We can't get the DA to work with us! He wants to work with the sherriff's dept!”

“They are all trying to sweep this under the rug!” said Debbie. “Please, please help! There is a dog lying on the deck of this house where all these other pit bulls are with its head torn off!

“What can we do? This man is being evicted and works in Jackson, TN ...his last name is Johnson.

We don't know where to turn! “

This is disgusting and horrible. It makes me sick to think that a person could do something like this. And no, I do not blame the dogs--this is purly some macho man trying to prove himself and get off on the violence. Next time why don't he just stick his finger in and outlet-same high, safer for the dogs. FYI: whomever thinks this is a sacraficial killing is wrong. This is dog fighting, pure and simple
