Featured Visitor: A Happy Birthday Blossoms into a Special Delivery for our Sanctuary Animals!
Anne Corrigan decided to celebrate her 54th birthday this year in an extra-ordinary way by inviting her best friends to help our “Best Friends” here at the Sanctuary. Instead of expecting gifts Anne asked her friends to contribute cash and gift cards (based on our Wish List) for the animals and used her party as a fundraiser.
Anne has been a long time supporter and member since 1998 and had the opportunity to visit last year. Anne said she was “even more committed to our mission” after her visit and was “impressed with the sensitivity and industry” upon which the Sanctuary was built that she decided to celebrate her birthday this year by contributing even more.
Anne too rescues animals, mostly cats, back home in California and is also involved with the “Performing Animal Welfare Society” rescuing animals in circuses and zoos.
Two of her friends, Cynthia Lawrence and Peggy Heathers, were planning a cross-country trip so Anne asked them to deliver her birthday gifts in person! Together Anne and all her friends collected $1000 for the Best Friends animals!
A VERY big thank you goes out to Anne, Cynthia, Peggy, and all her friendsfor their generosity and kindness!! Here at the Sanctuary all the animals join together to fly & flap, hop & nibble, run & dig, pounce & play, gallop & jump, and roll & root to wish Anne Corrigan a Happy Birthday that lasts throughout the year and beyond!
Thanks Anne! Here’s to celebrating you!!
