Featured Visitors: The Fantastic Four
Every now and then you meet an amazing youngster who gives you hope for the future. Twelve year old Courtlyn and her three young friends, Jordan, Hannah and Noelle – all animal lovers - are an inspiration to us all. Courtlyn dreamed of a visit to Best Friends and spent six months saving enough money for the trip. Her dedication and hard work, doing all kinds of chores – pulling weeds, cleaning hot tubs and walking dogs, motivated her friends to do the same. They all started saving their money from various jobs for a future visit to the Sanctuary. Recently, all that hard work paid off.

In June, Courtlyn, Jordan, Hannah and Noelle spent five days volunteering with the Best Friends dogs and cats, where they all fell in love with our Sanctuary animals, especially Zoey-Anne. Courtlyn’s mother Harriet is extremely proud of these young women, who worked so hard to accomplish their goal and who generously volunteered to share their time and love with the animals at Best Friends. They even made a trip to the Gift Shop to spend some of their hard earned money.

This “Fantastic Four” isn’t done yet. Noelle’s mother told us that they all belong to a Girl Scout troop and are planning to do an animal focused project for their next silver award. Jordan’s whole family plans to visit Best Friends in the future. They all continue to spread the word about Zoey-Anne to try and find her a forever home.

These youngsters are well on their way to building a better world through kindness to animals.

Can't decide who is cuter....Zoey-Ann, Courtlyn, Noelle, Hannah, or Jordan. Great work girls, you are making a difference, and an inspiration to all!

Actually, it was Jordan who pulled weeds and cleaned hot tubs! Courtlyn saved weeks and weeks of allowance and did some other odd jobs, but her money earning period was longer than Jordan's and not quite as creative :-) ... hot tub cleaning is on the list for next year, though! We'll definitely be back! Heartfelt thanks to all the staff members at Best Friends who made our visit such a memorable one - what an incredibly special place! (Courtlyn's mom)

I absolutely love stories like this. A huge thank you to the lovely young ladies who not only had a goal, but worked very hard to accomplish that goal. You are all to be commended. This is so admirable and such a shining example to youth everywhere. This type of action gives the rest of us hope for the future. Thanks again, Ladies - well done, well done.

Behind every inspirational kid is someone who
helped to inspire them. We can all be teachers
by taking just a little time to share what we've
learned in the 'kindess revolution'.
These 4 young girls can change their world. They've
changed my day just by reading about them.
Great job girls!!!

Way to go! These kids are truly an inspiration. We adults could learn something from their work ethic and compassion.
