Downbound’s 1 Month Challenge
Two vegans, determined to dispel the myth that vegans are puny and unhealthy, set out to radically transform their bodies in just one month!
Downbound has launched an exciting new vegan advocacy website at
1monthchallenge.com. It promotes healthy living, compassion for animals, and community discussion.
In a nutshell, the
1monthchallenge.com is a campaign to radically transform your body through physical exercise while on a vegan diet. And visitors watch the Challengers' daily progress through blogs, photo galleries, and discussion forums.
From April 5, 2007 to May 5, 2007 Adam Wilson (
downbound.com and
animal-rights.ca) aims to bulk-up, and Kimberly Carroll (
kimberlycarroll.com) aims to tone-up. And you get to watch their progress every day, real-time at
1monthchallenge.com Challenger #1Adam Wilson has been a vegetarian since 1996, and a vegan since 1997. In 2002, he co-founded the Toronto Animal Rights Society, which engages in public advocacy to promote veganism. In 2003, he founded
downbound.com, which is an online retailer of vegan, organic, and fair labor products.
Challenger #2Kimberly Carroll has been a vegetarian since 1997, and a vegan since March 2006. She's host of hit TV show, “
Take This House and Sell It!”, which airs in the U.S. and Canada. Since the early 90s, she's been a popular TV host, producer, and actor. Among her many accolades, she was named Winnipeg's "Favorite Television Personality" and Edmonton's "Sexiest Woman". She recently founded
Divine Redhead Productions to create sassy spiritual, wellness, and conscious living television programming.
