Play Inspires Everyone to Save Animals from the POUND!
By Jennifer Andrews, Best Friends StaffHow many teens out there would like to be a movie star one day? How many of you participate in school plays hoping to be discovered? How many of you love animals?
Christian Kiley, who teaches Theatre Arts at Etiwanda High School in Etiwanda, California, has created a play that not only challenges actors but educates the public on the pet overpopulation problem. The audience gets to see and hear how the animals really feel when the shelter workers go home for the night. Watching the scenarios unfold, such as the hyperactive puppy that always get adopted and always gets returned, brings to light problems that shelters face every day. The wonderful set and interesting characters keep people of all ages engaged while bringing awareness and promoting action to the pet overpopulation problem.
If you are an animal lover and would like to perform this play at your school visit the links that follow. If your school does perform this play, let us know! We would love to highlight you on our teen community.
